Latowicz is a small town located by the Swider River and its backwaters. It is one of the oldest places in south-east Mazovia. There are monumental chapels, statues and wayside crosses from the 19th and 20th century both in the centre of Latowicz and on the area of the whole commune. Most of the monumental buildings had been burnt while town conflagrations.
