Latowicz is a small town located by the Swider River and its backwaters. It is one of the oldest places in south-east Mazovia. There are monumental chapels, statues and wayside crosses from the 19^th and 20^th century both in the centre of Latowicz and on the area of the whole commune. Most of the monumental buildings had been burnt while town conflagrations.
