Niepołomice is the city in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, located by the Vistula River and on the edge of Niepołomicka Forest, about 25 km to the east from the centre of Cracow. It has rich historical past. The beginnings of Niepołomice reach the times when Polish country had been organizing. In the 14th century the last king of Piast Dynasty, Kazimierz the Greatest built a castle in Niepołomice by the Vistula River.

Mountains, which are separated by Polish-Slovakian bourder, conceal many treasures. Silver waters hide in the valley, and on the one of the tops rests the dreaming knight.

Tczyca, Raclawice, Uniejow, roadside cross, urban cementary - the Michowska Upland is richly decorated by human signs.

The highest peak in the Polish part of Beskid Niski is Lackowa (997 m asl) located between the Beskidy Pass and Ostry Wierch. Beskid Niski is famous for numerous old Orthodox churches, which are traces of the past of this interesting region.
