International Gypsy Camp of Memory set off from Tarnow. In colouful carts harnessed with horses Gypsies from Poland and abroad traveled across Malopolska region, visiting collective tombs of Gypsies murdered by the Nazis. The journey ended in Bielcz.

Following their tradition Hasidic Jews from the USA, Western Europe, Israel and countries of the former Soviet Union came to Lezajsk in Podkarpacie region to celebrate the 220 death anniversary of Rabbi Elimelech Lipman of Lizhensk. Hasidic Jews believe that on that day the Tzaddik comes to takes their prayers and carry them to God.

The Gorale (literally "highlanders") are an ethnic group found along southern Poland, northern Slovakia, and in the region of Cieszyn Silesia in the Czech Republic. In Poland they live in the region of Podhale of the Tatra Mountains and parts of the Beskids.
