Polish Polar Station run by the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Science is situated at Polar Bear Bay in Hornsund fjord on West Spitsbergen Island. The station was set up in 1957 by a group of scientists from PAN led by Stanislaw Siedlecki. From the beginning, the station has hosted hundreds of people conducting different researches. One of the members of yearly polar expeditions is the author of the presented photographs – Mateusz Moskalik.
