The Masurian Canal was meant to join the Baltic Sea with the big Masurian lakes through the River Pregola. Germans wanted it to become a route for transporting wood, building materials and peat, as well as a tourist attraction.

The tomb of Farenheid family is located in Rapa in Voivodeship of Varmia and Masuria, near the border with Russia (Kaliningrad district). It is surrounded by picturesque and wild Romincka Primeval Forest.

The Wolfschanze, Führer's headquarters in Gierloz, was Hitler's largest headquarters. It was was a complete city in itself, with airfields, power stations, a railway station, air purification installations, a water supply and drainage system, as well as heating. In total the site covered 250 hectares, and was surrounded by barbed wire and land mines.

The castle in Lidzbark Warminski, sited in the junction of Rivers Lyna and Symsarna, dates back to the second half of the fourteenth century (1350-1401). It is also known as the castle of the Warmia bishops for until 1795 it  was their residence.

John the Baptist Church was built in Wilczkowo, a little village located near Dobre Miasto in the Voivodeship of Varmia and Masuria, in 1786-87 and consecrated on 25 October 1789 by bishop Ignacy Krasicki, a famous Polish fable writer.
