Wolin National Park is located at the mouth of Oder River, in the North-Western Poland (voivodship of Western Pomerania). It protects the unique ecosystem of north-western part of the Wolin Island.

Shortly before the autumn rut, in late September and early October, male red deer lose the velvet on their antlers and begin to compete for access to females. Dominant males are able to maintain larger harems of females and restrict access to them.

Lemkivshchyna, sometimes called Lemkovyna, Lemkivshchyna, or Lemkowszczyzna, is the land of the Lemkos (Lemki). It includes the higher elevations of the Carpathians of modern-day Poland, extending to around the Poprad River to the west, and extending to the east as far as the region around Sanok. It is the land where the multitude of cross-roads shrines and cemeteries is accompanied by traditions fostered by locals.

Dam on Lomnica River was built in 1910-1915 to protect Karpacz from being regularly flooded by this mountain river. Before the dam was built Lomnica used to cause serious damage in the town.

Dam on Bystrzyca River was erected in 1911-1914 to protect the surrounding villages from floods. Picturesque reservoir created by the dam became one of the tourist attractions in the area.

Long Street (Ulica Dluga) and Long Market (Dlugi Targ), also called the Royal Route, is famous for the noblest buildings in Gdansk: among them Golden Gate, Gdansk City Hall, the Artus Court, Neptune’s Fountain and the Golden House. The richest Gdansk patriciate used to live in this part of the city. Their tall, colourful Flemish-like houses are yet another tourist attraction.

Gdansk railway station was build in 1895 - 1900. Station’s buildings were restored and modernized in 1996.

Picture taken by Tomasz Galazka show the beauty and diversity of Mazovian landscapes. Forests, ponds, meadows and river are similarly picturesque in spring, and when they are covered with snow.

They feed on insects, fruits and juices of some trees. They are common all over the world. They are less aggressive than wasps and it is harder to provoke them to attack.

Cracow Salt-Works Museum in Wieliczka is one of the biggest mining museums in Europe. It is situated in original underground excavations of 700-year-old Wieliczka Salt-Mine, placed by UNESCO on the First International List of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The museum presents its exhibits in the underground display as well as in the Salt-Works Castle.
